Established in 1974, Allama Iqbal Open University was founded with the mission of making education accessible to everyone, especially those who couldn't leave their homes or jobs. Early Childhood Education and Elementary Teacher Education Department
The department offers a variety of programs for future teachers, including graduate and postgraduate level professional degrees in ECE & ETE with different durations. The department also offers courses of Education in Diploma, Bachelor, MPhil and PhD Programs.
It aims to prepare ECCE teachers to be able to tackle the persistent challenges being faced by ECE & ETE workforce. Due to the increasing demands of quality in early childhood care and education, this department is the best choice in terms of having highly qualified academic faculty, research environment, supporting staff and other facilities.
About Rupani Foundation
Early Childhood Development (ECD) is the flagship initiative of Rupani Foundation which makes the Foundation as one of the pioneers in introducing innovative ECD programs for prenatal to 8 years old children, families, and caregivers in Pakistan.
The Foundation started its pioneering and innovative ECD program in 2009 with the objective to provide a healthy start for optimal development of children. Building upon its success, RF has expanded its unique ECD initiative to different parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Sindh, Punjab and Islamabad.
